Don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch this week’s New Zealand Open golf tournament at Millbrook Resort for free!

Unlike other tournaments that charge hefty admission fees, the NZ Open remains accessible to all thanks to the support of Queenstown council and local sponsors. This decision not only helps attract government funding but also ensures that the community can enjoy the event.

Tournament director Michael Glading emphasizes the importance of local residents as a key audience for the Open. He believes that keeping the event free for attendees is essential to encourage community participation.

The tournament has faced challenges in the sponsorship market, but with the continued support of sponsors like Gallagher Insurance and Manuka Doctor, the event has been able to maintain its $2 million purse for the pros competing in the 104th Open.

Despite the tough market conditions, Glading remains optimistic about the tournament’s future and is grateful for the ongoing support from sponsors and the local community.
