Manhunt Underway for Attacker Who Stabbed Stranger Outside Bronx Deli
Authorities are on the hunt for a deranged attacker who randomly stabbed a stranger multiple times outside a Bronx deli on Tuesday morning. The vicious assault took place in front of Ray Deli Food on White Plains Road near East 228th Street in Wakefield around 9 a.m., leaving the 33-year-old victim critically injured.
According to police, the attacker, described as fidgety, ambushed the victim without any provocation, stabbing him multiple times before fleeing on foot. The two men did not exchange any words before the brutal attack took place.
The victim was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and remains in critical condition as of Wednesday. Meanwhile, the NYPD has released surveillance footage of the suspect, who was captured on camera pacing outside the deli wearing a black winter coat with the hood pulled up and carrying a backpack.
Law enforcement officials are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect.
