The United States is gearing up to host the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is set to be the largest sporting event in history. In anticipation of this monumental occasion, President of the United States has ordered the establishment of the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The purpose of this task force is to showcase the nation’s pride and hospitality, promote economic growth and tourism through sports, and support preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026. This event coincides with the 250th anniversary of the country, making it an even more significant milestone.

The President will serve as the Chair of the Task Force, with the Vice President as the Vice Chair. An Executive Director will be designated to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Task Force. The Task Force will consist of various members, including the Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, and other key officials.

The Task Force will coordinate with executive departments and agencies to assist in planning, organizing, and executing events surrounding the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Agencies will provide necessary information and assistance to the Task Force to ensure a successful outcome.

For administrative purposes, the Task Force will be housed in the Department of Homeland Security, which will provide funding and administrative support. Each agency within the Task Force will provide a report on their planning and activities related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Task Force is set to terminate on December 31, 2026, unless extended by the President. This order is to be implemented consistently with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations. It does not create any substantive or procedural rights or benefits enforceable at law by any party against the United States.
