Greg Gutfeld of FOX News Talks Comedy Philosophy and Punching Left in NPR Interview

National Public Radio recently reached out to Greg Gutfeld of FOX News for an interview, perhaps in response to calls from the right to cut their federal funding. The interview showcased Greg’s humor, although it seemed lost on the NPR host.

The NPR host played a segment from the “Gutfeld!” show where Greg made a joke followed by “a racist would say,” a running gag on the show. However, the NPR host seemed to miss the humor completely.

During the interview, Scott Simon of NPR asked Greg about the labels applied to his comedy, such as insult conservatism and provocative. Greg simply labeled it as “fun,” explaining that being labeled as mean is often a reflection of differing beliefs.

One interesting exchange during the interview was when Simon mentioned that Greg is always “punching left” and not “punching up at powerful people.” Greg challenged this notion, leading to an engaging discussion.

The interview, lasting about ten minutes, can be listened to below:

Despite any differences in humor appreciation, it was gracious of Greg Gutfeld to participate in the interview. While the NPR host may not have fully embraced Greg’s sense of humor, millions of viewers continue to enjoy his show on FOX News.
