Born Again’ Launches With 7.5 Million Views on Disney+

“Daredevil: Born Again” has made a powerful impact on Disney+ since its launch. According to Disney, the Marvel Television series garnered an impressive 7.5 million views within the first five days of its release on the streaming platform. This achievement marks it as the biggest streaming debut on Disney+ this year, with the show officially premiering on March 4.

Disney typically does not disclose viewership data for its streaming content, making direct comparisons challenging. However, for context, it was previously reported that the drama series “Paradise” starring Sterling K. Brown attracted 7 million views in its first nine days on Hulu and Disney+ earlier in the year. Additionally, the Marvel show “Agatha All Along” garnered between 3 and 5 million views during various points of its run in late 2024.

“Daredevil: Born Again” brought back fan-favorite cast members such as Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, and Jon Bernthal, who had all previously appeared in the Marvel-Netflix series “Daredevil.” The ensemble was further enriched by Margarita Levieva, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and Ayelet Zurer.

Once again, Charlie Cox portrays the iconic character Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who moonlights as the vigilante Daredevil, fighting crime in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen. Vincent D’Onofrio reprises his role as the formidable Marvel supervillain Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin.

The series has received acclaim from critics, with Aramide Tinubu praising it in her review for Variety, stating, “This ‘Daredevil’ revival is wonderfully complex. The show dismantles its previous Netflix universe, allowing the characters to evolve under the weight of time and experience.”

Dario Scardapane serves as the showrunner and executive producer of “Daredevil: Born Again,” with Kevin Feige executive producing alongside Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Sana Amanat, Chris Gary, Matt Corman & Chris Ord, and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead. Benson and Moorhead also directed episodes, along with Michael Cuesta, Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and David Boyd.
