Four Florida gangbangers have been arrested and charged with the murder of a 7-year-old boy in a failed drive-by shooting targeting a rival gang member he was walking with. Keith Fields, 18, Dannel Larkins, 20, Zharod Sykes, 24, and Keith Johnson, 21, were apprehended for the tragic death of Breon Allen Jr. on January 24, as announced by Jacksonville County Sheriff TK Waters.

The young boy was caught in the crossfire of bullets aimed at Lafayette Mango, the intended target, who was also injured but survived the attack. Sheriff Waters described the incident as a “targeted, planned act” and the result of escalating violence between two rival street gangs. One of the perpetrators spotted Breon innocently walking with Lafayette Mango and opened fire.

The four suspects are facing charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted first-degree murder. Authorities believe that more individuals were involved in the shooting and are actively pursuing them. Sheriff Waters issued a stern warning to those responsible, stating that they will be tracked down and brought to justice.

Breon’s parents, Casheena Love and Breon Allen Sr., expressed gratitude to the community and law enforcement for their efforts in seeking justice for their son. Love shared her surprise at the swift conclusion of the case and expressed her thankfulness for the support received. She emphasized the importance of keeping her son’s memory alive and turning the tragedy into a positive movement.

Moving forward, Love plans to honor Breon’s legacy by keeping his name alive through daily remembrance, social media posts, and discussions. She aims to create positive initiatives in his name and hopes to see positive outcomes emerge from the tragedy. The family is determined to ensure that Breon’s memory lives on and that his story brings about meaningful change in the community.
