Prince Harry’s Devotion to Meghan Markle: A Price to Pay?
Many critics have pointed out that Prince Harry’s unwavering devotion to his wife, the duchess, has come at a cost. Insiders reveal that Meghan Markle is the one calling the shots in their relationship, from their ongoing feud with the royal family to their charity and business ventures to even their friendships.
According to a source close to the couple, “Harry doesn’t have a social life outside of Meghan. He used to have a close circle of friends in the U.K., but ever since Meghan entered the picture, he has distanced himself from them. It’s as if she doesn’t want him spending time with the friends he had when he was single.”
Comedian Jack Whitehall recently admitted that he used to be good friends with Prince Harry before Meghan came into the picture. He reminisced about the fun times they had partying together, although he also mentioned that he, too, has cut back on his social life since becoming a parent. Meghan, however, denies being the reason behind Prince Harry losing touch with his friends.
In their 2022 Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” Meghan addressed the common phenomenon of friends feeling left out when one of them enters a new relationship. She said, “In any relationship, oftentimes, when a guy falls in love with a girl, his buddies are like, ‘Oh, my God, he changed. I don’t see him anymore. He’s always with her.’ You blame the girl. And that’s whether you’re in a small town or a big city or in the royal family. He wouldn’t have ever been attracted to or interested in me if he hadn’t already been on his own path.”
Despite the criticism and speculation surrounding their dynamic, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to navigate the challenges of their high-profile relationship while staying true to their shared values and goals.
