An Indianapolis mother has found herself in hot water after allegedly storming onto her son’s middle school bus with her teenage daughter and physically assaulting her son’s 14-year-old bully, resulting in a broken nose for the victim. Latea Hentz, 36, along with her 17-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son, were caught on the bus’s security camera engaging in the violent altercation in Warren Township, a suburb of Indianapolis.

The incident, which took place on March 6, was captured on the bus’s security camera and quickly went viral after videos of the attack surfaced online. In the footage, the school bus driver can be heard telling Hentz that parents are not allowed on the bus. Despite this, Hentz ignored the driver’s instructions and proceeded to confront the 8th-grade student who had allegedly been bullying her son.

As Hentz, her daughter, and son approached the victim, chaos ensued as the two siblings immediately began attacking the 8th grader. Hentz could be heard encouraging her children to continue the assault, shouting, “Beat his a–.” The trio’s violent outburst left the other students on the bus terrified, with Hentz and her daughter even threatening to harm other children who tried to intervene.

The attack only came to an end when the police arrived at the scene. However, as they exited the bus, Hentz continued to make threats towards the students, expressing her frustration with their behavior. Hentz later claimed to the police that her son had been a victim of bullying by the 14-year-old for several weeks, and that the school had failed to address the issue.

The victim, who was taken to Riley Children’s Hospital for treatment, was diagnosed with a fractured nose and bruising around his left eye as a result of the attack. However, during his interview with the Warren Township police’s child abuse department, the victim revealed a different side of the story. He alleged that Hentz’s son had been targeting him with racist remarks and had instigated the attack.

Initially facing misdemeanor charges, Hentz now finds herself charged with four felonies, including Criminal Confinement, Battery Resulting in Moderate Injury, Intimidation, and Criminal Trespass. Her two children are also under investigation for their involvement in the incident.

As the legal proceedings continue, the community is left shocked by the violent altercation that unfolded on the school bus. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing bullying in schools and the potential consequences of taking matters into one’s own hands.
