The turnout at the Denver Fighting Oligarchy rally was nothing short of remarkable, with over 34,000 attendees gathering to hear from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and other progressive stalwarts as they criticized Republicans, former President Trump, and the oligarchic structure of power. This turnout should serve as a significant wake-up call to Democrats, the political elite, and the mainstream media.

So just how significant was this crowd in Denver? It marked the largest political assembly in the city since Barack Obama’s rally back in 2008.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez took to Bluesky to share her thoughts:

Meanwhile, Sen. Sanders expressed his excitement on X:

@AOC and I welcomed 34,000 individuals in Denver. This is the largest rally I have ever hosted, which underscores that the American public will not stand idly by while Trump attempts to steer us toward oligarchy and authoritarianism. We will resist, and we will prevail.

This movement transcends party lines; it’s fundamentally about America itself. It matters not who you voted for in previous elections. If you’ve contributed to Social Security and Medicare, those programs are your entitlement. Your hard-earned tax dollars finance those services, and they belong to you.

Figures like Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Republican establishment cannot strip these rights away. Any attempt to do so would rightly be seen as theft.

The mainstream media, often lacking the necessary insight, have drawn parallels between this surge of public sentiment and the Tea Party movement. However, it’s crucial to remember that the Tea Party was a manufactured, astroturf initiative funded by billionaires and amplified by Fox News.

In contrast, what is unfolding now is an authentic grassroots movement far more expansive than the Tea Party ever was.

Recall that the 2008 general election campaign unfolded amidst the Great Recession. Forget the fabricated Tea Party narrative; this new movement is poised to reclaim the country from Trump and the billionaire class.

Denver was merely the beginning.

What are your thoughts on Bernie Sanders and AOC drawing a crowd reminiscent of Obama’s in Denver? We invite you to share your insights in the comments below.
