A social media influencer who gained notoriety for shedding light on the drug-infested streets of San Francisco is now facing serious legal trouble. Ricci Wynne, 39, has been indicted on two counts of producing child pornography, on top of existing human trafficking charges following his arrest in November.
According to federal documents filed this week, Wynne allegedly coerced two minors into engaging in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of creating explicit videos. Prosecutors believe that he intended to profit from the disturbing footage.
Wynne is currently in federal prison, having been initially arrested in November at San Francisco International Airport on suspicion of pimping and pandering, charges to which he has pleaded not guilty. Police confiscated his iPhone at the time, which contained footage of underage sex acts.
This isn’t Wynne’s first run-in with the law. In 2019, he pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, resulting in probation.
The disgraced social media personality had claimed to have turned his life around and was using his experiences to highlight the crime and drug issues plaguing San Francisco. His videos, which depicted drug users and homeless individuals in the city, gained traction on conservative platforms like Libs of TikTok.
Wynne, a vocal supporter of former President Trump, emphasized the need for San Franciscans to confront the issues facing their city rather than ignore them. However, his social media accounts have since been removed, and he has not posted since his arrest.
If convicted on the new charges, Wynne could face a minimum of 15 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and a minimum of five years of supervised release. The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of exploitation and the consequences of criminal behavior.
