Minnesota Governor Jokes About Tesla’s Stock Decline

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, recently made headlines for his remarks about Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk. During a town hall event, Walz joked about Tesla’s stock falling and referred to Musk as a “knucklehead” and a “smarta–.”

Walz later clarified his comments, stating that he was simply making a joke and that people misunderstood his sense of humor. He acknowledged that he may have crossed a line with his remarks about Tesla’s stock performance.

Despite the backlash, Walz continued to criticize Musk for his involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and his cost-cutting initiatives. He also highlighted recent vandalism incidents targeting Tesla vehicles in protest against Musk’s ties to President Donald Trump.

As Tesla’s stock continues to decline, Walz urged Musk to prioritize supporting employees and giving back to the community rather than focusing solely on financial gains.

It remains to be seen how Walz’s comments will impact his relationship with Tesla and Elon Musk moving forward.
