Federal authorities are actively investigating music mogul Diddy, with the possibility of seeking a criminal indictment against him. The investigation has led to the issuance of a new grand jury subpoena related to a hotel in Florida.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York have subpoenaed a luxury hotel in Miami for documents and evidence related to Diddy. The subpoena specifically names Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, calling for the hotel to provide reservation records involving them and other associates of the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO.
The subpoena covers a period from January 1, 2008, to the present, requesting information such as check-in and check-out dates, room numbers, guest preferences, billing information, and more. Prosecutors have also asked for email addresses, phone numbers, forms of payment, computer IP addresses, identifications, vehicle information, and surveillance footage from the hotel.
The recent subpoena indicates that federal authorities are still actively pursuing the investigation into Diddy. This comes after Homeland Security agents raided Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year as part of an ongoing probe into alleged sex and narcotics trafficking.
A federal grand jury has been convened in the Southern District of New York, with witnesses being notified that they may be called to testify. Diddy has also faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical abuse. Notably, his ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him, which was quickly settled.
Representatives for Diddy and Daphne have declined to comment on the ongoing investigation. As the authorities continue their probe, the music industry waits to see how this legal saga unfolds.
