Motorola is gearing up to launch what could potentially be the best flip phone of 2025 next week, according to a recent teaser post on their US X account. The launch event is scheduled for 24 April, and the teaser video showcases a compact foldable device opening, closing, and spinning with the caption “When the ordinary flips to the extraordinary.”

The anticipation surrounding Motorola’s upcoming flip phone launch is palpable. Speculations suggest that the company will unveil the Motorola Razr 60 and Motorola Razr 60 Ultra, building on the success of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra (also known as the Razr+), which is currently hailed as the best foldable phone on the market. With its expansive 4-inch cover screen, impressive battery life, and smooth software, the Razr 50 Ultra has set a high bar for its successors.

While details about the new models are still scarce, early reports hint at some promising upgrades. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is expected to feature a design similar to its predecessor, along with a 6.9-inch pOLED display. The phone is rumored to be powered by the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering a significant performance boost compared to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 in the Razr 50 Ultra. Additionally, the Razr 60 Ultra is likely to come equipped with a larger 4,275mAh battery and a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50Mp main lens and a 50Mp telephoto lens.

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr 60 is expected to sport a 6.7-inch internal display, an upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip, a 4,500mAh battery, and a dual-camera setup comprising a 50Mp wide lens and a 13Mp ultrawide lens. As the competition heats up in the foldable phone market, with rumors of a revamped Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 on the horizon, the battle for supremacy in the flip phone segment is set to intensify.
