Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is set to compete against a transgender woman in the upcoming Miss Maine USA beauty pageant, as reported.

Hudson, aiming to win the Miss Maine USA crown after being the runner-up last year, will face tough competition from Isabelle St. Cyr, who is making history as the first transgender individual to participate in the state pageant.

St. Cyr expressed her excitement for the competition in a Facebook statement, drawing parallels to her experience starting cheerleading at a young age.

St. Cyr, a farm owner from Monson, Maine, clarified that her decision to join the pageant is driven by personal passion rather than a political statement.

She emphasized, “I’m just doing it because I love pageants and I just happen to be trans. I want to show everyone that trans women absolutely do this pageant and can do well,” as reported by Bangor Daily News.

In her quest for the Miss USA tiara, St. Cyr will go up against Hudson, a former cheerleader and the unofficial team mom of the University of North Carolina football team.

Hudson, representing Hancock, Maine, in the pageant, enjoys the support of her high-profile relationship with UNC Football head coach Belichick.

As the couple’s relationship continues to make headlines, Hudson recently celebrated Belichick’s birthday and referred to him as her “twin flame.”

The pageant is scheduled for May 10 and 11 in Portland, where contestants will undergo judging in various categories.

St. Cyr acknowledged the potential backlash her participation might receive, stating, “The negative backlash is inevitable when you’re a trans person pretty much doing anything in America.”

She remains determined to handle any criticism with grace and represent not just transgender women but women as a whole, as per Portland Press Herald.
