According to sources who shared insights with Reuters, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems inclined to disregard Trump’s advisement to pursue diplomatic avenues for curtailing Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Over recent months, Israel has put forth various military options to the Trump administration, including potential strikes slated for late spring and summer, sources revealed.
These strategies encompass a blend of airstrikes and special operations that vary in intensity, potentially delaying Tehran’s nuclear weaponization by several months or even longer, according to the same sources.
The New York Times highlighted that during a White House meeting earlier this month, Trump expressed to Netanyahu that the U.S. aimed to prioritize diplomatic discussions with Tehran and was not prepared to endorse a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities in the immediate future.
However, Israeli officials now entertain the possibility of launching a limited military operation against Iran that would necessitate minimal U.S. backing. Such an attack would be significantly less extensive than the initial proposals put forward by Israel.
In a parallel development, U.S. and Iranian negotiators engaged in a second round of preliminary discussions in Rome on Saturday.
