Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, America is re-emerging — harnessing pragmatic environmental policies that foster economic growth while upholding the standards that have granted Americans some of the cleanest air and water globally for generations.

In stark contrast to the previous administration, which seemingly squandered billions of taxpayer dollars on performative gestures and ineffective schemes, the Trump Administration operates on the premise that Americans excel at managing our extensive natural resources — no need for a “Green New Scam” here.

Here are pivotal initiatives President Trump is undertaking regarding the environment:

President Trump is advancing energy innovation for a healthier tomorrow.

By endorsing breakthrough technologies such as carbon capture, nuclear energy, and next-generation geothermal systems, the Trump Administration positions America at the forefront of both energy production and environmental innovation — delivering the cleanest energy available worldwide. Furthermore, by lifting the Biden-era freeze on liquefied natural gas export approvals, the U.S. is not only sharing cleaner energy with allies but is also working to reduce global emissions while generating American jobs — building upon the successes of President Trump’s first term, where the U.S. led the globe in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

President Trump is advocating for responsible forest management.

The Trump Administration’s proactive forest management strategies aim to protect America’s woodlands, mitigate catastrophic wildfires, and endorse sustainable land use. By streamlining regulations and enhancing responsible logging practices, President Trump is not only preserving millions of acres of forest but also improving wildlife habitats and bolstering rural economies.

President Trump is abolishing mandatory paper straw usage.

The mandates surrounding paper straws are not only scientifically dubious but also detrimental to both human health and the environment. A recent study indicates that paper straws can contain harmful PFAS chemicals — notorious “forever chemicals” associated with significant long-term health risks — that can contaminate our water supply. Additionally, research shows that the production of paper straws may have a larger carbon footprint and consume more water than plastic straws, yielding “approximately zero environmental benefit.”

President Trump is eliminating unnecessary regulations that hinder innovation and inflate costs.

Measures such as pausing restrictive emissions regulations for coal plants and revising the implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act have expedited responsible energy and infrastructure projects while maintaining strict environmental standards — saving American households thousands annually on energy expenses and demonstrating that economic strength can coexist with environmental health.

President Trump is safeguarding public lands.

The Trump Administration has prioritized access to federal lands for energy development while ensuring responsible management. By expanding opportunities for oil, gas, and critical mineral extraction on federal lands and waters, the U.S. is enhancing its energy security and lessening dependence on foreign resources. Concurrently, investments in conservation, including $38 billion in clean water infrastructure during President Trump’s initial term, continue to protect America’s natural legacy for future generations.

President Trump is challenging unfair trade practices that damage the environment and undermine U.S. producers and exporters.

For years, foreign nations have exploited American generosity to the detriment of domestic workers and the environment. Deforestation rates in Brazil have surged to a 15-year high, while China’s unfair fishing practices inundate the global market with illegal fish and deplete marine stocks. Meanwhile, Mexico fails to combat illegal fishing — all while enjoying substantial trade deficits with the U.S. and contributing to global environmental degradation.

President Trump is taking action against China — the world’s leading polluter.

According to Reuters, China generates the most ocean plastic pollution annually, with an estimated 2.4 million tons — roughly 30 percent of the global total. By enforcing stringent trade measures and promoting American manufacturing, the administration aims to diminish reliance on China’s high-pollution industries, ensuring that the U.S. sets a standard for cleaner production and responsible global stewardship.

President Trump is committed to wildlife conservation.

By pausing specific wind projects, President Trump acknowledges the considerable environmental impact of wind turbines on wildlife, which often exceeds their purported benefits.
