Rob Lowe is gearing up for the Season 3 finale of his Fox competition series, “The Floor,” which is set to air on Wednesday. As the host of the show, Lowe is determined to end the season with a bang, leaving viewers excited for Season 4, which is already in the works at the network.

In a recent interview with Variety, Lowe shared his thoughts on the unpredictable nature of “The Floor.” He emphasized that anything can happen on the show, with contestants rising from obscurity and established players facing sudden challenges. Lowe advised viewers to always expect the unexpected when tuning in.

Following the conclusion of his previous show, “9-1-1: Lone Star,” Lowe has remained within the Fox family. Despite the end of his character’s journey on “Lone Star,” Lowe continues to follow the “9-1-1” universe closely, including the recent shocking death of Peter Krause’s character, Captain Bobby Nash. Lowe praised the creative decision made by showrunner Tim Minear, highlighting the impact of Krause’s performance on the show.

While “9-1-1” and its spinoff have a history of teasing character deaths, Lowe acknowledged that Bobby’s death marked a significant departure from the norm. Reflecting on his own character’s fate in the series finale of “Lone Star,” Lowe expressed relief that his character, Captain Owen Strand, survived.

As Lowe balances hosting duties on “The Floor” with considering his next scripted project, he maintains a sense of humor about industry comparisons, such as being mistaken for actor John Stamos by a Hollywood tour guide. The comparison dates back to the late ’80s when both actors rose to fame in their respective projects.

Looking ahead, Lowe teased plans for the upcoming fourth season of “The Floor,” which will be unveiled at Fox’s upfront presentation in New York. He emphasized the show’s commitment to innovation and keeping viewers engaged with new twists and challenges each season.

Overall, Lowe is optimistic about the future of “The Floor,” envisioning it as Fox’s own long-running reality competition series akin to “Survivor.” With plans to introduce exciting new elements in the upcoming season, Lowe is confident that the show will continue to captivate audiences and evolve creatively.
