Motorola has unveiled its latest additions to the foldable smartphone market, the Razr 60 and the Razr 60 Ultra. Building on the success of the Razr 50 series from 2024, these new models promise enhanced features and performance for tech-savvy consumers.

Design & Build:
Both the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra sport redesigned titanium-reinforced hinges, offering increased durability with up to 35% more fold capacity than their predecessors. Additionally, they both boast IP48 dust and underwater protection, making them more resilient to dust and water exposure. In terms of size, the Ultra model is slightly larger and heavier than the Razr 60, but it comes in four unique finishes including Alcantara, real wood, luxe satin, and faux leather. The Razr 60 offers finishes in faux leather, nylon-inspired, and lightweight Acetate.

Displays:
The Razr 60 Ultra features a 7-inch pOLED display, while the Razr 60 comes with a 6.9-inch panel. The Ultra model’s display is Pantone Validated and offers a Super HD resolution with a pixel density of 464ppi. Both devices feature LTPO panels with varying refresh rates, but the Ultra can reach up to 165Hz compared to the Razr 60’s 120Hz. The Ultra model also supports Dolby Vision and offers a brighter display with a peak of 4500 nits.

Cameras:
The Razr 60 Ultra boasts a triple 50MP camera system, including a 50MP selfie camera. In contrast, the Razr 60 has a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie cam. Both devices support macro shots and offer high-quality video capture capabilities, with the Ultra model supporting Dolby Vision.

Performance:
The Razr 60 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, providing top-tier performance. On the other hand, the Razr 60 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options vary between 512GB and 1TB for the Ultra model and 256GB and 512GB for the Razr 60.

Battery & Charging:
The Razr 60 Ultra features a larger 4700mAh battery compared to the Razr 60’s 4500mAh. It also supports faster wired and wireless charging at 68W and 30W, respectively, while the Razr 60 offers 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Price & Availability:
Both the Razr 60 Ultra and Razr 60 are available for purchase starting at £1,099.99/€1,299 for the Ultra and €799 for the Razr 60. US and UK pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed.

In conclusion, the choice between the Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra depends on budget and preferences. The Ultra model offers superior features and performance but comes at a higher price point. For those seeking a more affordable option, the Razr 60 still provides a compelling choice.
