Elsewhere, Dunedin emerged victorious in a hard-fought match against University, ultimately winning 33-21 at Logan Park. Although the Sharks held a commanding 33-7 lead at halftime, University mounted a comeback in the second half.
Lastly, Kaikorai dominated their match against Alhambra-Union, securing a comfortable 69-14 victory at the North Ground.
