A tragic incident shook the literary world as German bestselling novelist, Alexandra Frohlich, was discovered dead on her houseboat in Hamburg. The body of the ‘Death is a Certainty’ author was found by her son on the Elbe River, where she had been shot. Authorities have confirmed that Ms. Frohlich was violently attacked, leading to her untimely demise.

The murder investigation team has taken over the case, with reports indicating that she passed away between midnight and 5:30 am. Relatives found the 58-year-old writer lifeless on her houseboat and alerted the authorities, who confirmed her death upon arrival.

Investigators are now seeking potential witnesses who may have noticed any suspicious activity near the cerise houseboat where Ms. Frohlich resided. The police are also looking into the possibility of suspects and whether the author may have known her assailant. Details surrounding the incident remain scarce as the investigation is ongoing.

Divers were dispatched to the crime scene promptly, amid speculations that the murder weapon could have been discarded into the Elbe River. Ms. Frohlich, a former journalist from Ukraine, ventured into novel writing after a successful career in journalism. Her debut novel, ‘My Russian Mother-in-Law and Other Disasters,’ garnered significant acclaim, with subsequent works like ‘Travelling with Russians’ and ‘People Always Die’ solidifying her reputation as a talented storyteller. Her last novel, ‘Dirty Hands,’ was published in 2019.

The late author is survived by her three sons, leaving behind a legacy of captivating storytelling that will endure in the hearts of her readers.
