President Trump to Begin Renovation of White House Rose Garden

According to chief of staff Susie Wiles, President Trump’s long-awaited renovation of the White House Rose Garden is set to begin in a couple of weeks. The president has been eager to revamp the executive mansion to better suit his personal style and improve functionality.

While Trump has already made changes to the Oval Office, such as adding gold embellishments and presidential portraits, his plans for the Rose Garden include paving the grass portion and adding a ballroom. Wiles clarified that the actual Rose Garden will remain untouched, with only the grass being replaced by pavement.

The decision to pave the grass area of the Rose Garden is aimed at making it easier to host events without concerns of wet ground. Trump has expressed his dislike for guests getting their dress shoes wet while attending events at the White House.

Wiles mentioned that the ballroom addition is still in the design phase but is expected to progress quickly once the preliminary work is completed, given Trump’s background in construction.

In addition to the Rose Garden renovation, Trump has announced plans to install two 100-foot flag poles on the White House lawns, which he will personally fund. The president aims to create more space for hosting events without relying on large tents.

Trump also recently participated in landscaping work by planting a new sapling to replace the historic Jackson Magnolia tree, showcasing his hands-on approach to the upkeep of the White House grounds.
