In a shocking turn of events, Carl Sprayberry, a former Democratic candidate for Georgia’s 139th House District, has found himself embroiled in a scandal of the most disturbing kind. He was arrested as part of a comprehensive child sex trafficking operation dubbed “Operation Lights Out.”

This extensive sting operation, conducted from April 25 to April 28, led to the apprehension of 19 individuals accused of attempting to exploit children online, as reported by WTVM.

Sprayberry, 32, who previously ran for state office and infamously called for the assassination of former President Donald Trump in a social media post, now faces serious charges of human trafficking.

In a February 2025 tweet, Sprayberry proclaimed:

“Donald Trump has committed an act of High Treason. Should Congress refuse to take action, he will be killed by the people, as per the Second Amendment’s existence.”

He did not stop there, following up with a menacing suggestion that a Secret Service agent “should shoot him,” referring to Trump, and declaring, “It’s time to kill Trump.”

Such incendiary statements are not merely reckless—they border on criminal. One must wonder how an individual openly threatening the life of a sitting president managed to stay free until now.

The operation was a coordinated endeavor involving the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. It specifically targeted individuals attempting to engage in sexual activities with minors following explicit online interactions.

Among those arrested were illegal aliens and foreign nationals, further complicating the already convoluted narrative surrounding human trafficking in the region.
