ICE Seeks Public Help in Locating Illegal Jordanian Migrant Who Trespassed on Marine Corps Base

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued a bulletin seeking information from the public regarding the whereabouts of an illegal Jordanian migrant, Mohammad Khair Hasan Mohammad Dabous. Dabous, 28, entered the US as a foreign student on September 11, 2022, but failed to attend classes, according to ICE.

Dabous, along with fellow Jordanian national Hasan Yousef Hamdan, 32, was arrested on May 3, 2024, for allegedly trespassing at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. Dabous drove onto the base in a box truck with Hamdan in the passenger seat and refused Marine Corps Police orders to stop his vehicle at a checkpoint for inspection. Officers had to deploy vehicle denial barriers to stop Dabous’ vehicle from continuing.

Both men were detained and later released after posting bond on their immigration cases. While Hamdan has been re-arrested by ICE, Dabous remains at large. ICE believes Dabous has moved to the Los Angeles region and is likely living in Orange County, California. Describing Dabous as a person of interest, ICE has asked the public to contact 866-DHS-2-ICE if they have any information on his whereabouts.

Captain Michael Curtis, a spokesman for the base, previously stated that Dabous and Hamdan claimed to be subcontracted by Amazon and making a delivery to the U.S. Post Office in the Town of Quantico. However, they lacked approved credentials to enter the military installation, according to Curtis. Dabous argued that the incident was due to a language barrier.

ICE’s notice regarding Dabous serves as a call to action for the public to assist in locating the illegal migrant who trespassed on a major Marine Corps base. The agency’s efforts to track down Dabous highlight the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security and enforcing immigration laws.
