A Minneapolis-St. Paul restaurant owner is facing the difficult decision to close his doors due to increasing crime and a lack of accountability from city officials. Brian Ingram, the owner of the Apostle Supper Club in St. Paul, Minnesota, expressed his frustration with the escalating crime in the area and the failure of local leaders to address the issue.

In an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Ingram highlighted the challenges he has faced, citing a breakdown in public safety and a lack of consequences for offenders. He criticized local prosecutors, judges, and attorneys for not holding criminals accountable, which has led to a surge in criminal activities.

Ingram mentioned that repeated break-ins and ongoing safety concerns for both staff and customers have forced him to make the difficult decision to close his restaurant. He also expressed frustration with the difficulty of filing police reports, sharing his experience of being unable to have a police officer come to his business to file a report.

Despite some statistics showing a decline in certain crimes compared to the previous year, Minneapolis recently experienced a wave of gun violence, with multiple shootings resulting in five deaths and six injuries. Police are investigating whether these incidents are gang-related.

Ingram recounted the troubling experience of dealing with a repeat offender who has burglarized his restaurant multiple times despite several arrests. He emphasized the need for elected officials to take a stand against crime and ensure that offenders face consequences for their actions.

In response to the recent violence, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara released a statement expressing outrage and promising increased patrols to address the situation. While Ingram appreciated the police department’s response, he stressed the importance of elected officials speaking out and taking action to prioritize public safety.

Ingram called on the Minneapolis-St. Paul community to come together and advocate for policies that prioritize public safety. He urged everyone to set aside political differences and work towards a common goal of reducing crime and creating a safer environment for all residents.

As he prepares to close his restaurant, Ingram hopes that by sharing his story, he can bring attention to the challenges faced by business owners and residents in the community. He believes that with unity and a commitment to common sense solutions, the community can address the crime epidemic and create a safer and more prosperous future for all.
