A police cordon continues to be in place in Grey Lynn, Auckland, following a fatal shooting incident that occurred last night.
Armed police were stationed outside a residence on Tuarangi Rd, with the surrounding street cordoned off.
According to RNZ’s reporter on site, the cordons remained in place on Friday morning, with armed officers still on guard.
The reporter noted the presence of a blue forensic tent outside a housing unit, indicating ongoing investigation.
On Thursday, a woman at the scene informed RNZ that her nephew was the victim of the shooting, with additional individuals sustaining injuries as well.
In addition to armed officers and police vehicles, the police Eagle helicopter was observed circling the area on Thursday evening.
