Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart’s marriage faced a challenging time when a nude video, featuring the couple along with former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche, surfaced on Gawker. The leaked footage showed the three individuals naked in a tub.

In response to the leaked video, their spokesperson Marty Singer clarified that it should not be viewed as a sex tape but rather as “a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended for public consumption.”

Singer further emphasized, “It is a private recording meant for my clients’ personal use only, and any attempt to exploit it would infringe upon their rights and could lead to legal consequences.”

Subsequently, Dane and Gayheart took legal action by filing a $1 million copyright infringement lawsuit against Gawker Media.

In a 2019 interview, the actor known for his role in “Marley & Me” addressed the 2009 video leak, stating, “Three consenting adults, one of whom is my wife? I don’t see any wrongdoing in that.” He added, “Was it a mistake? I don’t believe so. We were simply three individuals enjoying a bath together. I have no regrets about it and do not feel the need to apologize for my life experiences. I am at peace with all of it.”
