In a surprising new chapter for Jill Biden, the former First Lady has secured a role with the Milken Institute, a well-known think tank, shortly after her exit from the White House. In a twist that might raise eyebrows, she’s opting to remain entrenched in the Swamp.

Last Tuesday, the Milken Institute unveiled its latest initiative: the “Women’s Health Network,” aimed at consolidating and advancing various efforts within the women’s health landscape. As part of this launch, Jill Biden will take the helm as chairperson.

Esther Krofah, Executive Vice President of Milken Institute Health, expressed gratitude for Dr. Biden’s previous leadership in the White House, emphasizing her dedication to promoting investment in women’s health. “We are thrilled to welcome her as we embark on this journey to enhance the Women’s Health Network,” Krofah stated.

Highlighting the persistent funding gaps in women’s health research, Krofah noted, “Data indicates that many health conditions uniquely affecting women suffer from chronic underfunding. Yet, we believe that through collaborative efforts within the Network, we can make significant strides in transforming women’s health and well-being for years to come.”

Jill Biden herself expressed her enthusiasm for the new position, stating, “From endometriosis to healthy aging, the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research made important investments in research and development. However, collaborative efforts across industries are essential to scaling these innovations.” She added, “I am honored to join the Milken Institute in uniting leaders around a common goal: ensuring women everywhere benefit from groundbreaking research that can change lives.”

During her time in the White House, Jill Biden also taught English and writing at Northern Virginia Community College, a role she vacated last December.

The Milken Institute, founded by Michael Milken in the early 1990s, states that its primary mission is to “accelerate measurable progress on the path to a meaningful life,” with a broad focus on various aspects of health—financial, physical, mental, and environmental.

According to its mission statement, “We bring together the best ideas and innovative resources to create blueprints for addressing some of our most pressing global challenges, both now and in the future.”

While the organization presents itself as non-partisan, The Daily Caller has pointed out that it has endorsed a number of progressive policies, including increased government spending and consumption taxes.

It’s worth noting that Michael Milken has a controversial past, having been convicted of securities fraud and sentenced to ten years in prison in 1990, though he served only 22 months after a pardon from President Trump in 2020.
