President Trump Unveils Statue Commemorating Rally Shooting Incident
In a striking display of resilience, President Trump revealed a new statue on the Resolute Desk today, capturing the dramatic moments following his ear injury during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024.
As a reminder of the shocking incident, Trump was shot in the ear by Thomas Matthew Crooks while delivering a speech in Butler. In a remarkable instinctive reaction, he ducked for cover as counter-snipers swiftly neutralized the threat.
In a display of defiance, Trump stood moments later, pumping his fist and chanting, “Fight, fight, fight,” asserting his determination despite the chaos. Remarkably, after being struck, he insisted on staying on stage for a brief moment before raising his fist in triumph.
Tragically, the incident claimed the life of rally attendee Corey Comperatore and left two others injured.
Questions continue to swirl regarding how such an attack could transpire at a presidential rally, and the search for answers remains ongoing.
Later, in a bold move, Trump returned to the site of the assassination attempt last October, determined to finish the speech that had been abruptly halted by gunfire.

The newly unveiled statue was prominently displayed on the right side of the Resolute Desk during an Oval Office ceremony held this afternoon.
On the left side of the desk, a bust of Lincoln and a copy of his 1987 memoir, *The Art of the Deal*, also made an appearance, perhaps symbolizing a blend of historical reverence and personal legacy.

In a flurry of legislative activity, the president also signed four bills aimed at dismantling several regulations implemented during the Biden administration. These included measures concerning gas water heaters, efficiency requirements for walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as energy conservation standards for household appliances and commercial refrigeration units.
Joining the President during this signing ceremony were Senator Jon Husted (R-OH), Senator Ashley Moody (R-FL), and Representatives Gary Palmer (R-AL), Stephanie Bice (R-OK), Craig Goldman (R-TX), and Brian Jack (R-GA), who sponsored and co-sponsored the bills.
