The highly anticipated Season 2 of “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” is set to premiere on Netflix on June 18th, offering fans an inside look at the lives of the 2024-25 Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad. Following the success of the first season, which delved into the unfiltered lives of the cheerleaders both on and off the field, Season 2 will follow the team from auditions all the way through the NFL season. Emmy Award-winning director Greg Whiteley, known for his work on “Cheer” and “Last Chance U,” returns to helm the series.

When Season 1 debuted last June, it quickly climbed the ranks on Netflix’s Top 10 worldwide chart, garnering 2.3 million views within the first four days. The show remained in the Top 10 U.S. TV shows for five consecutive weeks, with standout moments like the viral TikTok sensation of the “Thunderstruck” AC/DC number. Returning cheerleaders include Reece Weaver, alongside the dynamic duo of Kelli Finglass and Judy Trammell.

The production of “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” is in the capable hands of executive producers Whiteley, Adam Leibowitz, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Ross M. Dinerstein, and Rebecca Evans. The series is a collaboration between One Potato Productions, Boardwalk Pictures, and Campfire Studios.

In an interview with Variety last June, Whiteley expressed his hopes for Season 2, emphasizing a desire to delve deeper into the lives of the cheerleaders. The upcoming season promises to offer a more profound look at the team and their journey.

“Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” is just one of Netflix’s ventures with the Dallas Cowboys, as they are also set to release the docuseries “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys” in August. Fans can expect an exciting lineup of content centered around the iconic football team.
