In a recent statement, former President Trump accused the individuals behind President Joe Biden’s autopen of committing treason. “Joe Biden has never advocated for open borders; it was never his notion to allow criminals of all types to freely enter our nation. The chaos at the border and the financial drain on our resources stem from those exploiting his cognitive decline. They hijacked the presidency and put our country in peril. This is treason at its highest level! The Joe Biden known to us would never have permitted unchecked entry for drug dealers, gang members, and others. A simple review of his record will make this clear. Those treasonous individuals, who aimed to undermine our nation, failed because I stepped in. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump proclaimed on Truth Social.
The Oversight Project has recently conducted an analysis regarding Joe Biden’s pardons, which included his family members, Dr. Tony Fauci, General Milley, members of the January 6 Committee, and Gerald Lundergan. Notably, Biden granted a blanket pardon to his son, Hunter Biden, despite earlier assurances not to interfere in the Justice Department’s legal proceedings concerning tax and gun-related offenses.
On January 19, 2025, just one day before Trump was to be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, Biden issued a series of pardons. The Oversight Project found that all these pardons bore the identical autopen signature attributed to Biden. In fact, every document examined by the project featured this same autopen signature—except for the announcement of Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 election.
This raises concerns about Biden’s capacity to govern, as it appears someone else was operating his autopen during a time when he was evidently unfit. Consequently, Biden’s pardons are now under investigation. DOJ Pardon Attorney Ed Martin confirmed last Tuesday that the Justice Department is reviewing these last-minute pardons amid the escalating controversy surrounding the autopen.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) recently disclosed in an explosive interview that his committee has pinpointed the White House staffers responsible for operating Biden’s autopen during his apparent cognitive decline. “We believe we have identified those involved. Jason, your efforts at Heritage Oversight have been invaluable. We plan to summon everyone we believe played any role in using the autopen for a formal interview. Should they refuse, they will be subpoenaed and compelled to testify,” Comer stated.
