Billy & Tina’s Late Night Escape from L.A. Zoo
Under the Cover of Darkness

Cher is gonna be upset! The two elephants at L.A. Zoo that she fought for, Billy and Tina, made a daring escape last night under the cloak of night, as per sources from TMZ.

Insiders at L.A. Zoo disclosed that Billy and Tina were whisked away around 1:30 AM on Tuesday and are believed to have been taken to Tulsa Zoo. This controversial move sparked protests, a legal battle, and a sternly worded letter to L.A. Mayor Karen Bass, signed by Cher and other celebrities.

The elephant enclosure at L.A. Zoo was mysteriously empty the following morning – no elephants, no caretakers, and the electric fence turned off – indicating the animals were en route to Oklahoma.

Our sources reveal that the elephants were placed in crates and loaded onto a truck for the journey to Tulsa Zoo. The duration of the trip remains unknown.

Despite attempts to reach out to L.A. Zoo officials, no responses have been received, and L.A.’s Deputy Mayor, responsible for the zoo, abruptly ended the call.

Animal rights activists have long criticized L.A. Zoo for confining Billy and Tina, Asian elephants, in a space too small for their needs.

Zoo authorities argue that Tulsa Zoo will offer more space for the elephants to roam. However, as the letter to Mayor Bass emphasized, “it is nearly impossible to ethically house elephants in traditional zoo settings.”

Alicia Silverstone, Diane Warren, Justin Theroux, Katherine Heigl, and Nicola Peltz Beckham also added their signatures to the plea urging Mayor Bass to intervene on behalf of Billy and Tina. Despite legal efforts, a judge recently declined to halt the transfer.
