Metro Denver Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault
A metro Denver man, Glen Orion Meridith, 36, has been arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of sexual assault, kidnapping, and assault related to drugging a victim. According to an arrest affidavit, Meridith kidnapped four women at gunpoint and sexually assaulted them after meeting them on hookup websites.
Authorities in Aurora and Denver identified Meridith while investigating four assaults that occurred between December and March. The assaults followed a similar pattern where Meridith would meet the women, some of whom were escorts, through websites like “Mega Personals” and then pick them up in his red Jeep. He would then threaten them with a gun, force them into the back seat of his car, and sexually assault them multiple times.
During the assaults, Meridith would sometimes consume drugs and alcohol, record the assaults on his phone, and even force one victim to take cocaine. The victims reported instances of choking, struggling to breathe, and vomiting during the attacks.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims in the case and urge anyone with information to contact the Denver Police Sex Crimes Unit. Meridith is currently in custody at the Denver County Jail on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
