A psychic’s accurate prediction led to the discovery of the remains of a missing Utah college student who vanished over 50 years ago, as confirmed by an investigator who recently closed the cold case.

Douglas Brick, a 23-year-old University of Utah senior involved in various academic organizations, disappeared from his dorm on October 12, 1973, leaving authorities perplexed for decades.

After a hunter found skull fragments in the foothills above the university last fall, DNA testing in early May conclusively identified the remains as Brick’s, providing closure to his family after 52 years of uncertainty.

Despite the advancement of science in solving the case, a psychic played a significant role by predicting Brick’s fate 35 years before his remains were discovered. Brick’s mother had a chance encounter with the psychic in 1990, revealing details about her son’s disappearance that later proved to be accurate.

While the circumstances surrounding Brick’s death remain unknown, investigators expressed their emotional connection to the case, with Detective John Dial acknowledging a strong bond with Brick throughout the investigation.
