Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to make a move to Real Madrid on June 1, with the Spanish giants agreeing to pay a fee of $11.3 million to secure his services a month earlier than expected. This means that the England international will be able to participate in the Club World Cup with his new team.

To fill the void left by Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool is expected to bring in Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen in a $40 million deal. They are also eyeing Florian Wirtz from the same club and Bournemouth left back Milos Kerkez as potential reinforcements.

Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold will bolster a Madrid defense that will also feature Dean Huijsen, who is set to arrive from Bournemouth on the same day. The two players will have a little over two weeks to acclimate themselves to their new surroundings before Madrid’s campaign kicks off against Al-Hilal on June 18.
