Stine Goya’s Refreshing Resort Collection for the New Year
As the resort collections make their way into stores in November, Stine Goya is taking a different approach this season by looking towards the future. While most designers are focused on year-end festivities and vacations that stretch into 2026, Goya is all about resetting and refreshing for a clean slate. “You want to reset, refresh, and let go of things that no longer serve you,” she said during a recent call. To embody this idea, she asked her team to share small goals that could serve as grounding resolutions for the New Year.
Translating these resolutions into tangible designs, senior print designer Blanca Alomar BonnÃn created storytelling prints and motifs inspired by themes of reading, staying hydrated, buying more flowers, exploring ceramics, and traveling to Italy. These cozy and comforting hyggelig themes also sparked Goya’s venture into home textiles, a natural extension for a brand that has always incorporated interiors into its prints. With recent shows held in her atelier and neighborhood block, the move into home decor seems like a seamless progression for the brand.
While focusing on creating a sense of comfort and joy at home, Goya didn’t forget about the need for standout pieces for going out. The collection features a range of beautiful dresses, with the flirtiest option being a black dress with a short balloon skirt. The petunia flower takes center stage this season, with BonnÃn’s crayon rendering adding a blurred effect for a whimsical touch. A tent dress adorned with festive satin ruffles and the petunia print is a standout piece that exudes femininity.
For a more romantic look, a structured dress in a menswear fabric adorned with dimensional floral pom-poms is a charming choice. The delicately gathered corset camisole adds a touch of allure and can be styled on or off the shoulder. A mocha-hued ensemble featuring a jersey top and a chiffon skirt with white polka dots offers a versatile option that can transition from office wear with a jacket and loafers to a night out with heels.
With its blend of cozy home textiles and chic going-out pieces, Stine Goya’s resort collection for the upcoming year offers a fresh start and a sense of renewal. Embracing the idea of setting small goals and creating a clean slate, the collection invites wearers to embark on a journey of self-discovery and exploration as they step into the new year.
