William Duplessie, the crypto king accused of torturing an Italian millionaire for his Bitcoin password, appeared worn out as he faced a judge in Manhattan court. The 33-year-old was dressed in rumpled jail attire as he awaited an indictment in the shocking kidnapping case alongside fellow crypto trader John Woeltz, 37. The pair allegedly held Turin businessman Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan captive in a luxurious SoHo townhouse for almost three weeks.

Carturan, 28, endured brutal torture, including being cut with a chainsaw, before managing to escape on May 23. Woeltz was apprehended that same day in his bathrobe, while Duplessie turned himself in after a partying spree in the Hamptons.

During his first court appearance, Duplessie looked fatigued with bags under his eyes and a constant frown, a stark contrast to his party animal reputation. Held without bail, he still appeared disheveled and tired during his latest court hearing.

His attorney, Sam Talkin, remained silent after the hearing, and Duplessie is scheduled to return to court in early June. The gruesome details of the case continue to shock the public, with exclusive video footage obtained by NBC providing a glimpse into the ordeal faced by Carturan.

The investigation into this disturbing crypto torture case is ongoing, with the accused individuals facing serious charges. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as it unfolds in the Manhattan Criminal Court.
