Russell Brand, the well-known actor and comedian, has pleaded not guilty to rape and sexual assault charges involving four women dating back more than 25 years. The 50-year-old denied two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault during his court appearance at Southwark Crown Court in London. His trial is set for June 3, 2026, and is expected to last four to five weeks.

According to prosecutors, the alleged offenses took place between 1999 and 2005, with incidents occurring in Bournemouth and London. One of the accusations involves Brand raping a woman at a hotel room in Bournemouth during a Labour Party conference in 1999. Another woman claimed that Brand tried to drag her into a men’s toilet at a television station in London in 2001.

A third accuser, a television employee, stated that Brand groped her breasts at a birthday party in a bar in 2004 before forcing her to perform oral sex in a toilet. The final accuser, who worked at a radio station, alleged that Brand grabbed her face, kissed her, and groped her breasts and buttocks while working on a spin-off of the “Big Brother” reality television show between 2004 and 2005.

Russell Brand arrived at court wearing dark sunglasses, a suit jacket, a black collared shirt, and black jeans, choosing not to speak to reporters. The Associated Press does not disclose the names of victims of alleged sexual violence, and British law protects their identity from the media for life.

The trial is expected to shed more light on the allegations against Russell Brand and determine the outcome of the case. Stay tuned for updates as the legal proceedings continue.
