Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield enjoyed a day out on the golf course with teammate Chris Wideman and friend Michael Smith at the Ohoopee Match Club in Cobbtown, Georgia. The exclusive members-only resort is known for its unique walking-only course, match-play format, and serene layout spread across a sprawling 3,500-acre estate.

The trio was captured in various Instagram stories, showcasing their relaxed round of golf against the backdrop of clear skies and a golden-hued sunset. Caufield, in particular, was seen posing with his club in hand, exuding a sense of leisure and camaraderie on the course.

Ranked among the top golf courses in the U.S., the Ohoopee Match Club offers a distinctive experience with its optional “Whiskey Route,” a special four-hole stretch that adds to the allure of the course.

On the ice, Caufield had a solid season playing all 82 games, tallying 37 goals and 33 assists for a total of 70 points. Despite the Montreal Canadiens finishing with a record of 40-31-11 and securing a playoff spot as a wild card team, they were ultimately eliminated in the first round by the Washington Capitals in five games.

In a recent interview reflecting on the season, Caufield emphasized the team’s unity and fighting spirit, expressing pride in their performance. At 24 years old, he acknowledged the role he plays as a more experienced player on the team, aiming to continue growing as a leader and teammate.

Looking ahead to the next season, Caufield believes the Canadiens are prepared to face tougher competition as all teams improve. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, he remains optimistic about the team’s ability to build on their strong finish from the previous season.

As the offseason progresses, Caufield is balancing relaxation on the golf course with preparations for the upcoming NHL season. With a mix of leisure and dedication, he is poised to continue making an impact both on and off the ice for the Montreal Canadiens.
