DreamWorks Co-Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg Invests in AI Video Ads Platform

Jeffrey Katzenberg, co-founder of DreamWorks, recently co-led a $15.5 million Series A round for Creatify, an AI video ad platform. This investment was made through his venture fund WndrCo.

Creatify’s AdMax platform is revolutionary in the advertising industry as it utilizes artificial intelligence to quickly generate numerous video advertisements. These ads are specifically designed for social media marketing, with AdMax analyzing successful social video campaigns on popular apps like TikTok and Instagram to tailor its output.

The tech industry has shown a strong interest in AI advertising, with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressing his desire to automate the entire advertising process using AI tools. Zuckerberg envisions a system that can test thousands of ads across Facebook, Instagram, and Threads users, streamlining the advertising process significantly.

While the idea of complete automation in advertising may seem radical, it is not without its risks. Jeffrey Katzenberg, despite his extensive experience in the entertainment industry, has faced setbacks in the past. He was the founder of Quibi, a short video platform that famously raised $1.75 billion in funding only to shut down six months later.
