Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo Defends Nursing Home Death Reporting
Former Governor Andrew Cuomo appeared visibly upset as he denied any undercounting of nursing home deaths in New York during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When asked if he edited his administration’s report on coronavirus deaths in nursing homes, Cuomo refused to provide a direct answer, which is crucial for the Department of Justice investigation into his tenure as governor.
“There was no doubt that my administration produced the report, and it did not undercount the deaths,” Cuomo finally stated, standing by his record.
“It’s very clear that’s the Trump line, the MAGA line,” he added.
Despite persistent questioning from moderators, Cuomo evaded giving a direct response.
“I was very aware of the report,” he vaguely mentioned.
