Trump’s Approval Surges Past Obama and Bush in Second Terms

In a striking turn of events, President Trump’s approval ratings are reportedly outpacing those of both Barack Obama and George W. Bush during their respective second terms. This revelation raises eyebrows and, dare I say, invites a hearty chuckle at the expense of mainstream media narratives.

For months, the media has been relentless in its critique of Trump, painting a picture of unrelenting doom. Yet, the American populace appears to be tuning out this grim soundtrack. Instead, they seem to resonate with a different tune, one that suggests a more favorable view of Trump’s presidency than the media would have us believe.

Cast your mind back to the Obama administration—where the media practically canonized him, portraying him as a paragon of virtue who could do no wrong. Fast forward to today, and despite the barrage of negative coverage, Trump’s popularity has managed to eclipse Obama’s approval ratings at this same juncture in his presidency. What does this say about public perception versus media portrayal?

According to a recent report from RedState, the statistics are rather compelling:

Democrats Are Going to Be Livid When They See Trump’s Latest Approval Numbers

Recent polling indicates that President Trump’s approval ratings are now higher than those of both former President Obama and former President Bush at the same point in their second terms. According to RealClearPolitics’ Tom Bevan, “As of two days ago, Trump’s approval rating in the RCP Average (47.5%) is higher than Obama’s and Bush’s at this point in their second terms.”

For context, during the corresponding period in Obama’s presidency, his approval stood at 47.1%, while Bush’s was slightly lower at 45.9%. Bevan even shared a chart illustrating this striking comparison.

Imagine that.

This situation spells trouble not just for the Democrats but for the media as well. Once upon a time, the media wielded considerable influence over public opinion, but those days appear to be fading into the ether. Increasingly, citizens are discerning the underlying agendas, leading to a more skeptical view of media narratives.
