Actor Jonathan Joss, known for his role in “King of the Hill,” met a tragic end in his San Antonio neighborhood after a longstanding feud with a neighbor turned deadly. Joss, 59, was reportedly seen raging through the streets with a pitchfork, prompting his neighbor Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez to confront him with a loaded rifle. The argument escalated, resulting in Joss being shot and killed in his own driveway.

Alvarez was arrested for the murder but was released on house arrest after posting bond. This shocking turn of events has left the community reeling, with residents expressing concerns over the escalating violence between the two men over the years. Reports suggest that both Joss and Alvarez had engaged in menacing behavior, including brandishing weapons and firing guns to intimidate each other.

Neighbors recounted years of tension and confrontations between the two men, with incidents of gunfire and threats becoming all too common. Despite efforts by the police to mediate the feud, the situation only seemed to worsen over time. Joss’ husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, has claimed that the killing was fueled by homophobia, with Alvarez allegedly hurling homophobic slurs at Joss before shooting him. However, authorities have stated that there is no evidence to support this claim.

Gonzales also alleged that their home was set on fire by bigoted neighbors, but some residents have disputed this account, suggesting that Joss may have accidentally caused the fire himself. The loss of their home had already put a strain on Joss, who was struggling financially in recent times.

The tragic incident has raised questions about the lack of intervention despite the numerous police visits to the neighborhood regarding the ongoing feud. Both Joss and Alvarez had been involved in multiple altercations, leading to concerns about the safety of the community. As the investigation into the killing continues, the community mourns the loss of a talented actor and grapples with the aftermath of this senseless tragedy.
