The alleged victim in the bizarre crypto kidnap-torture case, Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan, is seen in a new video showcasing his daring escape from the “House of Horrors” in NYC. The footage, obtained exclusively by TMZ, captures Carturan fleeing the townhouse where he was being held captive by his business partners, John Woeltz and William Duplessie, in a Bitcoin venture.
The video, dated May 23, shows Carturan frantically running down the sidewalk in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood after breaking free from his captors. He is later seen walking back with a traffic agent, believing he is safe, before revealing the horrors he endured during his 17-day captivity.
After Carturan’s escape, Woeltz and Duplessie were arrested on charges of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, assault, and possession of a weapon. The duo, known as the “Crypto King of Kentucky,” are currently in jail without bond, awaiting trial for their heinous crimes.

Additional videos and photos have sparked controversy surrounding Carturan’s captivity, with some footage showing him engaging in seemingly voluntary activities. Despite the ordeal he went through, Carturan is seen partying, engaging in sexual activities, and even cooking crack cocaine with a smile on his face, raising questions about the authenticity of his claims.
