The Club 35 in Sayreville, New Jersey, run by Doreen and Anthony Acciardi, was recently in the spotlight for operating a prostitution ring. The couple, hailing from Freehold, admitted to the illegal activities as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. In order to avoid jail time, they agreed to pay $705,000 in unpaid taxes.

According to court documents obtained by The Post, the Acciardis were accused of managing a long-standing prostitution operation at the strip club located on Route 35. It was alleged that dancers engaged in sexual acts with patrons in the VIP rooms, resulting in substantial profits for the illegal business.

Authorities stated that the Acciardis failed to report the income generated from the prostitution ring, leading to tax evasion charges. To offset part of the owed taxes, approximately $420,000 in cash seized from the club will be used.

State Attorney General Matt Platkin emphasized the consequences of engaging in illegal activities and tax evasion, stating that such crimes will not go unpunished. The guilty pleas from the Acciardis and their associates, Jeanine Nichols and Jason Portes, highlight the seriousness of the offenses committed.

As part of the plea deal, the strip club will be subject to independent monitoring for five years, ensuring that the Acciardis adhere to the law. Despite the legal troubles, the Club 35 remains operational under the watchful eye of authorities until January 1, 2030.
