A significant gathering took place at the Colorado Capitol on Tuesday evening to protest against federal immigration enforcement, followed by a march through downtown Denver.

The demonstration began in front of the Capitol building, spilled onto Lincoln Street, and eventually made its way to Broadway.

During the protest near Broadway and Exposition Avenue, the Denver Police Department instructed the protesters to disperse. A video captured a police officer warning the crowd that necessary force would be used for arrests and prosecution if they did not comply.

Officers dressed in tactical gear used tear gas and pushed the group along the street.

The Colorado State Patrol, in a social media post on X, cautioned about potential unlawful road closures due to the large crowds in downtown Denver.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
