In a recent podcast interview, Miley Cyrus shared her journey towards reconciliation with her family following her parents’ divorce. Miley revealed, “I watched what happens when you donât clean things up as theyâre happening. They really do stack. And then all of a sudden you go, ‘Oh my God, itâs been 10 years, and this is a mess I barely even know how to start.’ This is emotional hoarding.”
During a pivotal year in her life, the former Hannah Montana star made the decision to mend relationships with her family members by reestablishing open lines of communication. She explained, “I just kind of busted through the pile that stacked and just (went), ‘I’m here, youâre here, letâs start by having a good time together, and then as we start bringing some happiness and joy into each otherâs life, then weâll be in a better place to have these conversations.'”
