California Senator Alex Padilla Removed from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s LA Riots Press Conference

During a news briefing in Los Angeles, California Senator Alex Padilla was forcibly removed as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem addressed the ongoing anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement riots in the city.

Padilla, a 52-year-old Democrat, was escorted out of the briefing after he interrupted Noem, accusing her of exaggerating and embellishing information.

As security personnel attempted to remove him from the venue, Padilla shouted, “Hands off,” insisting that he had questions for the secretary.

Padilla seemed to be referencing the recent ICE raids targeting illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds, which sparked riots in LA.

Following the incident, Padilla was briefly detained and later had a one-on-one meeting with Noem behind closed doors.

Noem reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to restoring order in the city, despite the protests and unrest.

Padilla, a vocal critic of the Trump administration’s response to the riots, emphasized that the protests were not a rebellion but a form of expression.
