Over the weekend, a large number of Coloradans gathered in metro Denver for the “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s policies, causing disruptions to several Regional Transportation District (RTD) routes.

RTD’s D and H lines had to be detoured to Union Station due to the protests, affecting stops such as 16th Street/California, 16th Street/Stout, 18th Street/California, 18th Street/Stout, Colfax at Aurora, and Theatre District/Convention Center.

Passengers are advised to utilize alternate stops at Auraria West, Empower Field, and Ball Arena stations during this time.

Additionally, numerous bus routes have also been detoured as a result of the ongoing protests.

For a comprehensive list of detours, commuters can refer to RTD’s trip planner for real-time updates.

Please note that this situation is still developing, and further updates may follow.
