CWBChicago was established in 2013 by a group of residents from Wrigleyville and Boystown who were dissatisfied with the lack of accurate information provided at local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings.

Our coverage has since expanded to include areas such as Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown, and other North Side neighborhoods. Our primary goal remains consistent: to deliver original reporting on public safety issues with in-depth context and detail not typically found in mainstream media.
