Milan is not just a city of luxury and high fashion, at least not in the eyes of designer Massimo Giorgetti. To him, Milan is a vibrant canvas where art, design, and underground music come together in a beautiful collision. He sees the city as a place where new creative communities are emerging and expanding at the edges, bringing fresh energy and inspiration to his work.

For his latest men’s collection, Giorgetti decided to break away from the traditional runway show format. Instead, he transformed his store with the help of Milan-based Fosbury Architecture, creating a unique setting that blurred the lines between fashion and art. The space was wrapped in a bold installation reminiscent of Christo’s work, while a video by Turbo Studio set the stage for the presentation. The real highlight, however, was the 24.7 Fastlife Collective, a group of young acrobatic bikers whose fearless spirit influenced the collection and was captured in the look book.

Giorgetti’s approach to design is all about creating collisions and connections between different artistic disciplines. He draws inspiration from unexpected sources, seeking to infuse his designs with raw energy and emotion. The collection featured mesh tees and sweats adorned with phrases like Dopamine, Antidoping, and Endorphins, as well as references to classic cycling culture. Jerseys from iconic races like the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia were reimagined in comfortable knits and oversized shirts.

The garments themselves were a blend of form and function, combining high-performance materials with a sporty aesthetic. Giorgetti, an avid mountain biker, incorporated his personal experiences into the collection, using images of natural landscapes taken on his iPhone as prints on shirts and waistcoats. Tailoring with a pajama-like feel and triacetate jersey fabric added a touch of comfort to the edgy designs.

In a surprising twist, Giorgetti introduced a zip-up bomber jacket and shorts made from thick floral Gobelin tapestry, giving the classic upholstery fabric a modern, BMX-inspired twist. The designer joked that wearing the outfit was like sitting in your living room armchair, a playful nod to the unexpected combination of luxury and street style.

Overall, Giorgetti’s latest collection is a reflection of his creative vision and passion for pushing boundaries. By embracing the energy and spirit of Milan’s artistic community, he has crafted a collection that is both innovative and wearable, offering a fresh perspective on men’s fashion.
